Type 2 Diabetes in Kids

What is Wizdom? Wizdom is the kit of wit and wisdom for kids with diabetes (and their parents). The kit is free to kids with diabetes (and their families) from the American Diabetes Association. The kit comes with two books-- one for kids and one parents-- that are packed with everything you need to know to get started on the road to good diabetes management. Order your Wizdom kit by asking an adult to call us at  1-800-DIABETES (342-2383), or send an e-mail to wizdom@diabetes.org.

What's in Wizdom?

Want to see what the kit looks like? Or maybe you're a diabetes educator and you want something to hang up in your office.  Download our Wizdom Kit Photo Sheet for a full-color poster. (See below for download info & required software.)

Get the Wizdom Recipe Cards!

You'll need:

  • A printer (a color printer works best)

  • Paper

  • Glue stick

  • Scissors

Step 1:

Download the PDF file, open it, and print both pages.

Step 2:

Use the glue stick to coat the back of one page. A big rectangle around the edge of the paper and a bunch of criss-crossed lines works great.

Step 3:

Carefully line up the backs of the two pages and press them together firmly.

Step 4:

Cut out the recipe cards and get ready for some tasty snacking!
